Thanks topside and Joe! The instructions call them superchargers. They look like turbochargers. Other than being on the engine, I really don't know...

Yeah, they could be Prochargers or a Vortech supercharger without the bracketry. Prochargers are typically crankshaft-driven, Vortechs via belt. What looked like inlet & outlet to me indicated turbocharger; the original term for them was turbo-supercharger.

I think you might be correct! But, I thought that a turbocharger would have been wider, but this is also 1960's technology.

The front suspension is complete. Some touchups and the disc brakes and it is ready for the chassis. The Man From U.N.C.L.E. will return...

I keep putting off painting with finding things to work on instead. I did some detailing on the chrome tree with the missiles, wheels and instruments. The Man From U.N.C.L.E. will return...

Thanks Joe! This took a little time under a magnifying lens otherwise, I would have gone blind staring at chrome plated details

Thanks Al! I have five projects lined up on the bench which is becoming a bit crowded as it is with all of the other stuff I have on it. I once knew a fellow who could build on an area the size of a postage stamp and then he would throw the completed model in a pile in front of him. I saw a picture of his head and eyes looking at the camera over his pile of models.

yep, i work like that. although i recently got one of those self-healing pads from my daughter-in-law and cleaned the bench of several (4 to be exact) projects to put this pad down. no more working off cardboard for me. i don't have the pile of finished builds on my bench. if i finish one, it goes in a plastic drawer, never to be seen again.
they say most modelers only use a 10th of their benches true space.

I use about 50% to build on most times... supplies fill the rest...

At least I'm not alone! When I'm not building, I need the space on the bench for my left arm to work on my laptop computer. Currently, there are 3 projects next to my left elbow waiting to be completed. One of my parts is missing as my wife was using the laptop the other day and her elbow may have knocked it on the floor. I have one for the other side of the rear suspension so I can copy it if I have to.

they say most modelers only use a 10th of their benches true space. This maybe true! My space on the bench is getting smaller, but it is not postage stamp size!
