...which will not be a Christine replica, or red; I'm thinking the light green they had, haven't decided whether solid or 2-tone.
AMT kinda forces you into the Sportone side trim, rather than making it a decal or separate panel, so it seems a variation in foil (2 different sheens) is called for; I can't imagine being successful sanding out or filling in the grid pattern and making the side spear a 2nd color.
Funny thing is the engine: it's a mix of BB valve covers and a Poly intake with rear distributor and the basic round air cleaner; the BB was only a dual-quad deal that year, with a small oval air cleaner for each carb (similar to the 300C & D). One of my cousins had a '58 Fury with that engine. Photos of them show some being painted all gold and others being silver with gold valve covers & air cleaners, and for the life of me I can't recall what color(s) my cousin's was...though I recall his new '66 GTO in detail...Nothing on the Forward Look site or Google appears to address this.
Looks like I should either find some 300C/300D air cleaners, or maybe do what everyone in the real world does and swap in a 440, haha. I'm likely to do something about the wheels anyway, instead of running wheel covers.
It's probably 3rd in line anyway, so there's time to agonize over what I want it to look like, haha ! Seems like a pretty nice kit, though !

Well, the hunt is on for oval air cleaners (I suppose I could make them, but I'd prefer knowing the right size!). Also trying to decide on a wheel/tire package; maybe something like Halibrands or something that works with the car's design and time period...might end up with Torque Thrusts. Chrome reverse wheels seem kinda bland, and painted steelies don't seem right for this one, plus nobody has a proper '57-'58 hub cap. Parts by Parks comes close, but no cigar. Cragars are so common, but have an outside chance. Did research on interior scheme & undercarriage color(s). Decisions, decisions...

Yeah, the filter ends of those were apparently used on the B dual-quad motors. Not sure which AMT B bodies you mean, though. I have Maxie & Air Grabber style.

If you just want to get rid of 1 or 2, fine by me - especially if they're not chromed, but that's no biggie to fix.
