Hardly any odor... the thinner is what has the odor but not bad and doesn't last very long as it dries really fast so you can build faster... you've seen my paints on the rack above my desk in lots of work in progress pics...

ah, brain fart. i did not realize you were using Tamaya acrylics. my bad. i have some Testers acrylic paints i use. they work well. gotta have water to rinse out the brushes. thinner does NOT do the trick.
and have to say something about this. think you have enough paints? jeez-Louise.. very nice setup though. i keep mine in a drawer out of site and off the bench.

Yeah I have a few paints, that's only half the rack, the other half has Testor and Ammo paints and I have a drawer full of Apple Barrel and Folk Art acrylics and some oil paint tubes for woodwork and figures painting... the rack is 5' long... When you actually build lots of kits ya need paints and living 80 miles from the nearest hobby shop you tend to stock up, ha, ha!!!

I hear you on the stocking up! Living that far from a LHS will cause you to stock up on needed supplies.

a conversation has started on our paint stash. i opened this thread to take the posts off Mike's build thread. it consists on our paint stash, how you store them and just how much you have. this was my last comment....
paint hoarders!! that would drive me crazy staring at all those paints. i get my paints on a "need only" basis. the only time i bought paint that i did not need was a store was going out of business and they were selling Model master spray paints for .50 a can and bottles for a dime. that was 10+ years ago. i also made a trade with Marty for a bunch of paint because he was switching brands. i will see if i remember to take a few shots of my enormous paint stash tonight. be ready to be impressed!!

By the way its not hoarding when you actually use them and build models, ha, ha, ha!!! definition - A hoarder is a person who accumulates, collects, and stores things, often to excess, and puts them away for future use. I forgot to take my pictures. I will get them in the next few months. I'll bet i don't have more than 75 to 80 bottles and cans combined. but then, just how much paint does a color-blind person need.

From Mayo Clinic... Hoarding disorder is an ongoing difficulty throwing away or parting with possessions because you believe that you need to save them. You may experience distress at the thought of getting rid of the items. You gradually keep or gather a huge number of items, regardless of their actual value. Hoarding often creates extremely cramped living conditions with only narrow pathways winding through stacks of clutter. Countertops, sinks, stoves, desks, stairways and all other surfaces are usually piled with stuff. You may not be able to use some areas for their intended purpose. For example, you may not be able to cook in the kitchen. When there's no more room inside your home, the clutter may spread to the garage, vehicles, yard and other storage areas. Hoarding disorder is different from collecting. People who have collections, such as stamps or model cars, carefully search out specific items, organize them and display their collections. Collections can be large, but they aren't usually cluttered. Also, they don't cause the distress and problems functioning that are part of hoarding disorder.
