Years ago, I collected dealer promotional models. Sold my collection but decided to keep this 1973 Duster promo in Petty Blue. I rarely use the term mint condition but this one is flawless. with the original box and decal sheet. Any other promo collectors out there.

I dabbled in it some years ago - like 40 ! - and have a few '69 GTXs & '68-'69 Chargers, a '70 GTX, and some Dusters & E-bodies. Also a '58 Belvedere, '59 Impala, '56 BelAir HT, and some early Barracudas.

I've had some in the past, but those are long gone. Currently, I have about eight '68 Imperial Crown promos in various condition. I started grabbing them after I acquired the 1:1 Imperial Crown convertible that sits in the driveway. I have a few other promos, but I don't think they are MOPARS.

The ealier muscle Mopar promos have always had steep prices.. Now, even the 72-74 promos are climbing in value.

Love to get a Basin Street blue 72 to match my real car. Unfortunately they are hard to come by and expensive.

I had several of the Mopar promos back in the late sixties. Wish I had them, now. I could sell them and retire. Wait... I am retired!

So, one of my JoHan '69 RRs is an incomplete kit - though I have enough spare parts to build it - and I'm thinking about doing it up promo-style. But I want to have the option of taking it back apart later and doing it as a proper model. I've heard Elmer's white glue is the hot tip for that. Is that correct, or is there a better glue for that purpose ?

Elmers will work but takes forever to dry... I have a friend who uses it to scratch build items for test fitting until his final assembly...
