Thinking I'd like to build one of these, using a "Lawman" kit. But I'd like bench seats ft & rear in the proper Belvedere pattern. Apparently even the regular Belvedere kit has ft buckets, which didn't happen in production. Thought I could modify a rear seat for the front, but buying 2 kits and an interior (Ebay) is too spendy for me. Is a rear seat included in the Lawman kit ? Couldn't find a photo that shows one.

Aha ! Found a photo and it shows a rear seat in the Belvedere pattern. Also found a timeline chart for the basic tooling, which goes back to the 1st Petty '64 racecar. Pretty much everybody has owned/sold a variation !

the only kit that i know of that comes with a bench seat is one of the 64 Dodges. don't know about the 65, but that would not have the correct pattern if it did have one.

Yeah, that's what I learned - so I bought a 2nd interior for its rear seat and will modify/adapt that for the front seat. Maybe I can sell off the rest of the 2nd interior for a few bucks; I'm nowhere near what y'all probably have in leftovers, but it's becoming a couple boxes full of stuff I don't need.

Are you certain that you couldn't get bucket seats in a Belvedere in '64?
I'm certainly no expert on these matters, but I do know that you could get any car with virtually any options that you desired back in those days.
I don't know how correct this car is, but it apparently depicts a '64 Belvedere with a bucket seat interior.

That car has a LOT of modifications: side trim, '68 hubcaps & later wheels to fit them, glovebox decor panel, modern aftermarket AC, aftermarket stereo, etc...so i'm not buying the idea that it's a reference original or was factory-built with that interior. I remember Dad ordering cars as far back as 1957, a relative's Chevy dealership, and spec-ing my own Z28 vs Cuda (though that was '72 & '73), and the notion that you could get any car with any options or trim is simply not true. Yes, there were a few things one could get if ordered in volume, or dealer-added things, the occasional goof-up, or (extremely rare) custom work for a special buyer or employee. Think about a car a minute, the inventory tracking & on-time delivery, the # of assembly, supervisory & QC people who would have to know, and it's easy to understand the need for standardization.
