So I'm still learning to use water based paint. I bought several containers of "Createx" air brush colors. Some say "opaque" across the top, which I finally found out means "flat". Also found that I had to spray with a larger tip on my Paasche gun - .55mm to a .73mm and up the spray pressure about 10 psi. My question is what is the best gloss clear coat to use? Should it be water based also, or can I spray any clear coat - water, Lacquer, enamel? Thanks, John

Never used water based paint but I think you’ll be safe using enamel clear. Just make sure the base color is completely dry. You can always spray a junk body and experiment with different clears and see what kind of reaction.
