Joe just posted about his trip cross country, sounded like a great adventure. then he mentioned his bucket list and how he knocked off a few things. its amazing how we are all individuals. we all are so different. levels of what excite us vary in many ways. my bucket list consists of one thing, to leave this world in the company of my friends and family. not much of a traveler or sightseer, don't want to jump out of plains or go into outer space. don't need to hold up the leaning tower or meet famous people. i guess i am that guy who would love to find a place off the beaten path, build bonfires and drink my pepsi zero, make coffee for the misses, then go watch the Browns play football till the good Lord comes calling. guess that comes from my mother and father and my hillbilly grandparents. we would go over there and eat southern cooking to we couldn't move. we would sit on the porch and i would listen to stories on end till the sun went down. funny, never really thought about it or even spoke about it, but i guess i have always been this way. best day of my life was my wedding, second best was the birth of my kids. don't think there is anything God created on this earth that can top that. just rambling.....

Yup, we are definitely individuals! My brother in law that lives in Montana is the laid back one, I like to go visit him and my sis to just recharge! We sit around a fire pit in the evening with a nice drink in hand and tell stories and laugh!!! Watch the elk or deer passing through his yard and stare up at the stars! Those are indeed precious times!!!

Nothing wrong with peace & quiet & a pleasant cruise - everybody has, or sets, their own path. I was always restless & curious, wanted to experience different things, and somewhat impatient if sitting still. Never particularly impressed with celebrities, preferring people I thought were brave or creatively accomplished or intriguing. So, I've dabbled in a wide range of disciplines, though never following through with sufficient focus to arguably master them. But each has been interesting, educational, and memorable. Not inexpensive, though, so I didn't retire wealthy in terms of money; but most of the experiences are precious, and hopefully imparted some wisdom - though that can be argued, haha !

For me it’s traveling, my work in the construction industry over the past 40 plus years has given me the opportunity to travel and live in a lot of different places in the US and abroad. After my first 20 years of moving around I was able to settle down here in the Houston area and my travels are now just short business trips. So far this summer I’ve visited my younger brother in NC and my older brother in WA. My soon to become my wife and I enjoy traveling together to different places for our vacations. My dad who’s 91 tells me that if I like to travel do it now while I can enjoy it and later on in life I will be able to remember the experiences. So many of my bucket list items are different places to go to see.

Wise words indeed, many wait too long and health needs kill the opportunity to truly live a full life in later years.
