Finally got it finished yesterday. It started as a pre-painted gold car. But I found a hair in the paint on one of the doors and it put me off for awhile. So I said to myself well if I’m going to repaint it. I’ll do it up like the Beverley Hillbillies TV show car in bright red. The one Jane Hathaway drove.
I custom mixed the color to match.
I cleared it and color sanded and buffed it out.
Did the white walls tires with number 8 white gel pen.
Here it is with the top up.
Decals were dark but that’s what it came with so used them.
I think it’s definitely better than the flat gold it came with.
maybe it’s a little plain but the 426 wedge gives it extra power for those trips to the Clampet mansion lol.
