Bought some resin parts from Fireball for a Super Bee build. Washed everything with dish soap & warm water. The white parts took Tamiya primer fine, but a couple of parts that came in grey fish-eyed pretty badly.
What did I screw up, and what's the fix ? Thanks in advance.

I soak my resin parts in one of the bleach white cleaners and then wash them off with soap and water.

OK- I have the purple stuff, but I'll hit AutoZone for the Bleche-Wite.

I let the parts soak for about 30 minutes and use a soft brush when I’m rinsing them off.

Thanks for the replies - and the tape trick makes sense. I need to correct myself: The resin parts from Fireball have a grey color. This is the 1st time I've had an issue. The other resin parts are from Harts Parts, white in color, no issues.

Are the grey parts 3D printed and the white parts cast resin? I'm just speculating, but that might make a difference. I've not messed with resin parts much, and I've not had any 3D stuff, yet.

I don't think they're 3D printed, but I've had 3D parts that took primer & paint without issues. Probably just a mold-release agent that I under-estimated...

I use the Purple stuff to clean my parts and have not had any issues. Just soak them for a half hour or so then wash with dish soap and water.
