2021 Ford Bronco First Ediition

Since one of my current projects, the AMT '69 Plymouth GTX is almost done, it is time to start on a new one. This time it is the AMT '21 Ford Bronco First Edition. My plan is to paint the body with Tamiya TS-92 Metallic Orange with a black roof and a black interior. I am a little upset with the fact that this is only a 2 door and not a 4 door since most of the new Broncos around here are 4 doors and not 2 doors SUVs.

At first I didn't like this kit as it had no engine in it. That changed when I looked at the kit and read the reviews on it. Let's see what this kit has in store for me.

Curbside kits can make beautiful renditions! I've done quite a few!

I wonder why, if it has no engine, they made the hood openable...kinda begs for a Cammer or Boss 429 swap, haha.
All I see around my area are the 4-doors, but the originals were 2-doors, and I think that's cooler anyway.

Thanks Joe, topside and Stace! I suspect that two doors are not selling as well as a four door would. In the course of a day, I see more four door Jeeps than I would a two door Jeep. A four door would offer better entry and exit to the back seat.

I painted a spoon to see what the color would look like with another color under it and I chose Tamiya TS-92 Metallic Orange and Tamiya TS-30 Silver Leaf on one side and just Tamiya TS-92 Metallic Orange on the other. One side was darker overall and the other is lighter and brighter. This is the color I will go with. I started assembling various components, but not painting them yet.

So the bottom spoon is the one you are using? It's the one I prefer for sure!!!

Yes. The bottom spoon has the brightest color for sure and it is the one I will be using!

I did a little painting this morning. I did the chassis and part of the interior.

I was a paintin' fool this afternoon, until I ran out of paint! I need to get to the hobby shop soon to get more paint! Now to add a second coat of paint to some of the parts that require a second and maybe even a third coat in some places.
