I'm sure you all know the kit, complete with maybe the least realistic engine compartment ever.
I've been tied up on the new racecar build, but hope to get back to the desk and mess with this kit. The plan is for it to have fender aprons & such to be more accurate. I'm undecided on colors, and might make it a 340 car while I've got the butcher knives out.
All I gotta do is wrap up the racecar's rearend, suspension, brakes, valve body, interior & tuning, haha. So far, every step includes reworking things the prior owner did...

I used the 68 Dart chassis for my 68 Barracuda.

That's nice ! I didn't think a '68 kit exists, though I've seen '69-to'68 resin conversion parts. '68 is my favorite year for A-body Barracudas.

I used this MPC Killer Cuda kit it had the 69 front and back but had the 68 side lights. I changed out the front and rear with Hearts resin parts.

This is a pretty odd kit, in that even the stock parts don't fit well at all: Top of the interior tub is wider than the body. Chassis rocks sideways on bottom of interior tub. So I'm tending to that stuff as time allows before I can start trying to improve the engine compartment. Seems likely that the aprons, rad support & firewall will have to be attached to the body before painting.
It sure looks like the kit is descended from a promo, but they did get some nice details in there.

I have one of the Killer Cuda kits. It seems to be a mishmash of different parts and not meant to represent a factory stock Cuda.

A break on the bracket-racer project while I wait again on parts allowed a bit of time for goofin' off.
So, I got this far...
