Just finished my latest project. 1979 Dodge Magnum XE. Teal Mist Metallic with white interior. Picked this car up about a year ago out of a used car lot in northern California. It had been laboring in several used car lots for several years and it needed to be saved. Came with a very sick 360 2brl, 904, 8 1/4 diff with 2.40 gears - UGH!! Dumped the 1/2 white vinyl top (and you know why). Interior is mostly stock except for the rug. Very solid car throughout. The plan going in was to end up with a fun cruiser with all the amenities that it came with - P/S P/B, Cruise, tilt, A/C (updated), P/seat, P/trunk lock, and kick ass 8 track W/ power antenna. After the body and paint work was done, I proceeded to attack the engine with vigor ( wife keeping me in check - "this car will not be seeing a drag strip"!) It now sports an approx. 450HP 408 with Comp roller, Eddy heads and intake, roller rockers, and an 800 CFM Thermoquad. Trans and diff are stock for now ( shift kit and a prayer in the trans), but the near future may get a 518 and an 8 3/4 or 9 1/4 diff. Engine has enough grunt to trash those items without much trouble. Engine only has a couple 100 miles on it to date, and I will be "light fottin" it for a while. John

Fantastic Magnum! The white seats contrast well with the teal paint. These cars were smooth on the road. The closest I got to having one was a '76 Charger Sport, and a '76 Cordoba. Cordoba had 360 4bbl. Charger had a wicked 400 4bbl.

What a beauty. I had one dark red metallic with matching red cloth interior. Too we spun out on an icy bridge and I wiped the front and rear hitting the guard rail. Man it was a rust free southern car. Hope you enjoy yours for many years.
