I probably mentioned this in the "Still Building ?" thread, but somehow I had this kit - opened - in my stash. Not being a DOH fan - I hated the wreckage thing - I was surprised that MPC made it with the Charger 500 roof. Figured I'd get the proper grille & tail stripe, and build it while I wait on a couple things for the Swinger 340. For the life of me, I can't recall how, where, or why I got the thing, but I've probably had it for decades.
Wow, what a crappy job vs Revell's kits - I'd say even AMT does a better job. Spent last afternoon correcting body lines, removing flash (it's everywhere !), fixing a couple things like an AC dash in a Hemi car & etc. The MPC # appears to be 8597.

Looking forward to seeing how you build this one.

Got it into 1st primer - I want to work the body lines a bit more - then new booth filters showed up, so the Swinger 340 got basecoat while primer's drying on the 500. I have a real mess of a desk right now, haha.

Well, 2 more rounds of block-sanding to get the contours decent, and likely in final primer. Haven't had to do as much on that before, but the fenders looked like the Pillsbury Doughboy, haha. Was thinking I'd get some color on it this week, but I'm all out of F8 Green. So, after looking through my airbrush lacquer, and $100 later, I have several colors coming. And now, I'm thinking F5 instead of F8... Interior is black because of the not-great tub, and it'll probably get a white stripe.

Sounds like a solid plan!
