Michael's may have some embossing powder in their store that would closely match teal. They have a lot of different colors.

Yes, the Teal Blue in the first picture looks perfect. Do you happen to remember where you got it?

For those of you who have never used the ignition wire boots from R&B Motion be forewarned! These things are tiny, I mean tiny. But once in place, they look awesome. In the following photos, you can see how small they are. Those of you with sharp eyes will also notice that I got the Distributor Boot on backward. I will fix this before the final installation. Yes, that is your standard sized sewing needle in the picture. LOL

Four hours of inventing new words and rubber gloves and I have the basic shape for a set of headers. These are the tubes I'm trying to emulate.

great work. really worth it. how thick of solder are you using? what are you using for a collector? and you HAVE to have an X pipe. I have a few kits I want to try this on, been trying it for years, but mine always end up looking like pieces of solder coming out of a plastic engine.

Hey, Eric. Could you elaborate on that under hood insulation material a bit? I saw it advertised on a couple of vendors' websites. How realistic is it? How easy to work with, both cutting to fit and gluing to the hood? I might want to order some. Hey, Steve, I hope you didn't think I'd forgotten about you. So here's the thing with the Underhood Insulation. When I opened the package I at first thought I'd gotten some carbon fiber by mistake. This side of the stuff looks shiny like carbon fiber. But when I unfolded it, it had a sort of fuzzy side. Also, the sheet looks large enough to do several models, maybe even a big rig or two. So I laid it on the underside of the hood just to see how it looked. and realized that it was kind of on the thin side. So I'll probably double it up. While messing around with this stuff it occurred to me that most underhood insulation is grey, not black, or at least most of the stuff I remember seeing. Also, the pattern is more random more like a used Dryer Sheet. So Would I recommend this product? Sure with the additional information that you could make the stuff out of an old dryer sheet if funds were tight.

Okay so as I was writing that a thought came to me about combining the dryer sheet with the Insulation and... To my eye, this looks to be the solution to all of my concerns. LOL Both of these things a very porous so I'm thinking about using something like rubber cement to attach them. Strangely the Insulation didn't come with any instruction at all.

Another issue has popped its head up. I bought this wonderful set of under dash gauges. With the intent of using a three-gauge cluster under the dash. Then I remembered the A/C vent and control set up. There's still room under the A/C unit but I'm worried that it will look weird mounted that low so I'm thinking of trying to replicate this. I remember the first time I'd seen this set up in Mopar Muscle and liked it a lot! Any opinions or advice on this would be welcome.

Absolutely excellent info you have provided. I really appreciate the insulation info. Looks like it "can be" made to work.
I'll be interested in seeing how you end up with the dash. Model on!
