Thanks, Fellas. this is the one I am furthest along on and I am forcing myself to build it straight out of the box. Well I will be adding carpet and maybe spark plug wires, but both of those to me and like adding paint. Just a part of the building process.
I love these '68 Dart kits and have like 15 of them now with plans to buy at least that many more for other projects. Some Hemi Super Stocks and Pro Stocks and some Stock and Street Machines. Yes, Al even a few of the dreaded Slant 6s are in the mix.

Made some progress today. Painted the console top and the tail panel. Did the flocking for the carpet and glued the door panels and seats in place. Glued the dash together. That was a major pain in the neck, next time I will do that before I paint it. Took a number of attempts to get the chrome trim on the hood but finally got that in place. Cleared the body and hood hoping that would even out the colors but it looks like the body is going into the purple pond for a repaint, but I may just leave it. Other than that having a blast!!!!
I love/hate how these pics show you all the crap you need to touch up! more progress tomorrow I hope!

Okay, slow progress today on this but progress nonetheless. I put a couple of coats of Future on the car yesterday and today got to polishing just to see if I could lessen the color difference between the hood and the body. Not as much as I had hoped but enough that I am not willing to repaint a shelf model. I painted the gas tank and got the first coat on the trans pan. Did a bunch of touch up on the interior and dash. I will be adding the decals to that tomorrow and finishing up the interior. the dash needs a bit more touch up but I am happy with the results so far. Defiantly not up to the standards of Steve, aka goofy62, but I can live with that. The body will be resting for the next 48 hours to let the Molotow dry on the trim so tomorrow will be finishing the interior and engine assembly along with finishing the paint on the chassis. If I am lucky that should take 2 days then I can install the glass and decal the body!

Nice progress Eric. How do you like Molotow to BMF ?

It is faster but not perfect. It takes a very steady hand, I may try masking next time. But do prefer it to BMF. I think with some more practice and more patience I will get this down. Also, I have proven to myself that after 48 hours of cure time this stuff is as tough as kit chrome.

I’ve made the switch over to the Molotow and have found that you need to put it on heavy and don’t go back to touch up until it’s very dry.

Small progress over the last couple of days. Life is kicking my but in other directions again but will be back at the bench again soon.
Mostly paintwork and small detailing so far.
