Kenworth cab/ Mack Challenge mixer

I’m creating another Super Bee company to support the other 2 Super Bee companies this one is Super Bee Services and this Kenworth is going to be a cab that’s going to tow a detachable lowboy trailer with a Super Bee Transit mixer on it. I’m using the Revell Kenworth dump truck kit for the Kenworth cab only. I already used the dump body on the Big Horn dump truck. I’m going with sublime green for the frame and fenders and yellow on the cab. I’ve started on the frame so far.

Al I’ve already used the dump body from the Kenworth with the Big Horn so I’m building the Kenworth as a cab to tow a lowboy trailer kit that I’m getting from Stace.

I’ve been working on the KW here. I painted the frame Dodge J5 Sublime and the cab is Dodge Y1 Bright Yellow. I’ve still have to paint the front fenders not sure if I’m going with Sublime or Black yet. Here’s my progress mock up pictures.

Stace thanks it’s going together pretty good so far with the exception of the paint on the hood if you look closer at it you can see where it wrinkled up on me. I’m not sure why but instead of stripping it I’m just going to use the extra hood I have and it’s now been primed so after that drys and the warm weather comes back I’ll try the yellow again. I’m thinking green on the fenders or black any recommendations?

I’ve got 2 hoods so I’m going to paint one with the sublime green and the other one black to see how they look. Not to much progress but a lot of reworking on the hood paint and cutting down the width of the rear fenders.

I’ve been able to repaint the hood yellow and now waiting on the weather to warm up to spray the green on the fenders. I’ve been adding some more parts on the frame and deciding on how to add to wrench and headache rack behind the cab. Here’s my progress pictures.

Here's a thought for you...Combine the winch and the headache rack. I've seen it before. The winch sits square on the frame then the headache rack is built around it. Look up Merrit Headache racks I believe that's where I've seen them.
