Thanks Al, with the bottom dump trailer they don’t have to stop to dump the load and it also spreads out the load. They are using these bottom dumps at a couple of new housing development’s near me and it’s amazing how fast they are able to raise the elevation on very large areas using these types of trailers. It only takes them about a minute to unload 15 - 20 cubic yards of dirt. They have a dozer behind them leveling the load out that’s just a couple minutes to do. They are running about 30 of these trucks with about a 30 minute turn around time to load up and dump. It’s probably about 1/3 the time compared to a end dump trailer.
