Let's start the game. Al?
Shrink wrap opened and parts washed. Only over 90 parts to paint and glue.

This kit can only build as Pro Street. No stock parts included.

I removed chrome from tunnel ram and valve covers. The engine and transmission waits primer and paint. Al, have you unwrapped GTX?

i actually was in the model room last night and i actually did some stuff and i worked on the 71. i had to move the box because i needed more room on my other bench for pro street and pro stock parts sorting.

The engine has two options: tunnel ram and cross ram versions. I can’t say which would be better for Pro Street. The tunnel ram that came with the kit needs a lot of work to be good. The original carburetors are replaced by after market parts.

go with the tunnel ram. even though it may need a little massaging, the dominators look much better on the tunnel ram. you dont see dominators on cross rams too much. me personally, i think that tunnel ram sits too high. i would chop most of the top off of it. give it a little styrene top on it, more surface for the carbs to bolt to, round off the runners and you got a nice tunnel ram. the one major thing wrong with that tunnel ram is it is 2 piece. i hate that 2 piece look. would take some patience to fill that in with putty or epoxy. if you really wanted to do some detailing, the hemi manifolds bolt straight into the head from either side od the runner. put a small diameter to there to represent those bolts and you have it made. i have tried this ones long ago, came out like shit. just speaking the truth. you can pull it off though.

Sportabout if you decide to go with the tunnel ram I would scratch build it from Al’s pictures. Nice progress on your build.

Thanks Al. It is possible to modify original "hot wheels" tunnel ram shorter and better fitting to the intake manifold.

No turbos this time. Modified tunnel ram looks better than original. Not perfect but acceptable and some details can be added.
